STABILITY ANALYSIS
Offshore Projects Consultants provides stability analysis for vessels and floating structures, supporting new designs, vessel modifications and marine operations.
We assess the effect of loading, equipment installation, cargo operations, lifting and ballasting on a vessel’s stability. Our work provides clients, vessel operators and approval authorities with clear evidence that the vessel can operate safely within the required limits.

OPC can create three-dimensional vessel models from lines plans, offset tables, general arrangement drawings and existing hydrostatic information. Where original drawings are unavailable, the hull form can be reverse engineered using available vessel information and survey measurements.
We can also prepare and conduct inclining experiments on site, analyse the results and produce the final stability book for submission to the relevant approval authority.
Vessel Modifications and Marine Operations
The installation, removal or relocation of equipment can significantly affect a vessel’s displacement, trim and centre of gravity. OPC assesses proposed modifications and develops revised loading conditions where required.
We also provide project specific stability assessments for:
