LIFT PLANS & LIFT ANALYSIS
Offshore Projects Consultants provides lift planning and engineering support for inshore, offshore and subsea lifting operations, from straightforward crane lifts through to complex offshore installation activities.
Lift engineering is undertaken in accordance with recognised marine operations standards including DNV-ST-N001 and DNV-RP-N103, together with project-specific Marine Warranty Survey requirements.

Our Capabilities
OPC can support inshore, offshore and subsea lifting operations including:
- Preparation of lift plans and lifting procedures
- Crane capacity and utilisation assessments
- Rigging design and selection
- Sling load and load distribution calculations
- Design and verification of lifting points and padeyes
- Structural assessment of lifted items
- Centre of gravity and lift geometry assessment
- Dynamic amplification and vessel motion assessment
- Offshore and subsea lift analysis
- Splash-zone and lowering analysis
- Vessel stability during lifting operations
- Environmental and operational limit assessment
- Marine Warranty Survey documentation and technical support
Inshore, Offshore & Subsea Lifting
For inshore and offshore lifting operations, crane capacity, load geometry, vessel condition and environmental effects are considered to establish safe and practical lifting arrangements.
For offshore lifts, vessel motions and environmental conditions can significantly influence the loads within the crane, rigging and lifted structure. OPC can evaluate the dynamic response of lifting operations using vessel motion data and project-specific environmental conditions to establish appropriate design loads and operational limits.
For subsea operations, analysis can include the effects of buoyancy, added mass, hydrodynamic loading and passage through the splash zone, allowing the complete lifting system to be assessed from initial pick-up through lowering and installation.

Deliverables
Depending on the operation, OPC can provide:
- Lift plans and lifting procedures
- Rigging arrangements
- Lift analysis reports
- Crane utilisation calculations
- Padeye and lifting point calculations
- Structural verification calculations
- Vessel stability assessments
- Environmental operating limits
- Offshore installation procedures
- Marine Warranty Survey submission packages
Our focus is on producing clear, practical lift documentation that can be used inshore and offshore, while demonstrating compliance with the required design basis and project acceptance criteria.
